Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By tommyj56304 Tue Jun 19, 2007 1:50 am
My MPC is only letting me sample a total of 10 seconds of sample time. Two five second samples is all it will hold or three three second samples and so on. I have a cf card that can save much more than that but in one sequence or song this is all i can use. Is this normal, or is there a way I can store more samples.

this is what i quickly found from doing a search for "10 + seconds"

I noticed that when I try to sample something, it only allows me to sample 10.9 s, and that seemed way too short.

Quote from the manual:

''In a non-expanded MPC2000XL, the maximum sampling time is 21.9 seconds mono
or 10.9 seconds stereo. In a fully expanded MPC2000XL (total 32 megabytes) the maximum
sampling time is 378.6 seconds mono or 189.2 seconds stereo.''

You didin't do your homework - need to read the whole manual :)

hes right too, the manual is always there. dont be afraid to check it out.

You have to buy and install the 32mb memory upgrade.
