Syncing 2 MPC1000's together

MPC Headz. Can anyone please help me? I want to perform live dj sets, but with 2 MPC 1000s and a DJ mixer instead of 2 turntables/CD decks.
My idea is to run loops, breaks, sections of songs on my MPCs while using a DJ mixer with inbuilt fx to add dynamics and flavour.

However can I sync 2 MPC 1000's together with either midi or something else? So when I press play on the master it also starts the slave.

I know what i want to do but i just don't know if it can be done with either the mpc1000 or mpc500.

Any help would be muchos appreciatos

yea midi in to midi out on each one.
set one to input OFF no mmc set the other to input Slave


there are only three or four options...
took me n my friend about 10 minutes to try every option and see what it did..

they both cant be on master.. obviously ..
so only the master can play + stop them both.
but it works nicely

but i can't really understand what's the use of it (for me the only reason to do this would be to hook up with the mpc of a friend.
it would be more interesting to hook your mpc up to another machine (synth etc...)

You could stop the slave while the DJ fader was up on the master and re-load the memory with a new project. Keep things going for as long as you want.

Of course then you'll have to figure out how you want to restart. If you want to keep it all in sync and go back and forth it might be better to use tap tempo and just leave them both on their own clocks.
