possibly not enough memory like it says, "insufficient memory". :?

possibly renamed files, so of course it's not going to be able to find them. MPC can't load across folders either. :?

have everything you want in the SAME folder.

so is my only half full 2 gig memory card where it needs the memory or is it inside the unit, because the memory card is only half full. i will try putting the stuff in one folder though. cheers

It would be the memory inside the unit. The ram. When you turn on the MPC it will say like (16 MB installed) or (128 MB installed). This is how much ram you have. If you have 16 MB you'll probably want to upgrade that. Hope that was helpful...

My question is how do you go through 2 MPC models without understanding this?

i am guessing from your name that you are uk based (is thomas the tank engine known in the USA?).

if so, do a UK ebay search for:

PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB

i just got the 128mb update for £16 (akai charge £100).

there is a video on youtube showing how to install it (it's very easy though!).

this upgrade is definitely worth £16.

Question... I have tried organizing my files this way many, many time (which is very logical and efficient) but it seems my MPC1K cannot find the SEQ file inside the folder... I have to place it outside the folder in order to see it. I don't understand why and it's driving me crazy.

Any thoughts on this???

Cheers

Cool, I will try that. Out of curiosity, do you hook up your MPC1K to your computer via USB?
