Layering pads external sound module...

Is it possible for me to layer sounds from the Fantom XR on the MPC2000XL pads with out resample? Can I just assign 4 diffrent sounds in four diffrent octaves on one MPC pad? :?:

Why would you want to do that, under only 1 pad I mean ?

I want to be able to play those 4 diffrent sounds and four diffrent octaves across the pads.

Why would you want to layer sounds from a synth onto your pads, go buy a MIDI cable for $10 and trigger the sounds from where they are; inside the fantom.

I have midi cables, I want to layer them in diffrent octaves, same notes though. Only thing is I want to be able to play them cross the pads when I turn the tune function on.

Assing multiple programs in motif the SAME midi channel number, give that number a midi track in mpc.

i have got an xr and this can be done. xr has 16 channels. one channel can support four slots to put in your waves. just put the waves in. or go to the sampler and layer more sounds at one channel....:)
