chopping samples

I need help on the art of chopping samples, say for instance Pete rock of Premo? can anyone come close to helping??

I use recycle. If you only have the MPC then it is going to take a little time to tweak but you can use the slice sound function located in shift F5 (blue buttons on the 2KXL) / choose sound then you will see the wave form. Next hit the white (or beige) F3 button for zone then hit the white F5 key under the screen you will see EDIT in that box scrool using the jog wheel until you come to SLICE SOUND. make sure you choose create a new program YES. Last press Do It.
