I've been thinking about picking up that WR album but I've assumed that it's not funky enough and have always gone for other of their stuff...

How much did you give for the Ron Carter one? They got it in a a couple of stores downtown and I have theory that records here are expensive as hell so I just wanna check...

it's good...stuff i am sure you could use...i wouldn't call weather report funky at all though

that ron carter was 6 bucks. it's a promo and in excellent condition. well worth it imho.

I got that Ron Carter last night, it's a promo too though, I think i was more pricey than $6 though. Sucks for me.

Also picked up Mysterious Traveler, Heavy Weather by Weather Report, Mwandishi by Hancock & Crosswinds by Cobham.

I can't wait to get off work and start listening.

I think some tracks, primarily on"Sweetnighter" and "Mysterious traveller", but also on "Heavy weather" ("Palladium" for instance), are funky as hell, or at least groovier than a muuhf...
