Then I have to pitch the sample down 147 in the MPC to get the original tempo (i did some test comparing pitch. You wont get it exactly the right tempo, its a tiny bit off, and -147 was closest the O.G.). I guess i use under half the space on the samples sampled and pitched this way.
At 33rpm +50% I tune down 60 or something, I guess I use maybe 3/4 of the space?.
I dont know how much you save by doing 45 rpm+8%, but you propably save around 1/4.
But the space you save is not all, the lo-fi sound is dope!
But I'm not good with math, so I may be wrong on the calculating.
Get a deck with 78rpm speed or a 50% pitch fader, thats fly!
I sample all my 45's at 78 as a matter of course to save sample time but to also add more character to the sound.
How do you down tune 147 when the 60 can only go down to -120 semitones though????
