Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

:oops: Hey everyone im new to the forums ..Hello and im glad to be aboard... my question

how do i get my mpc to trigger my kits from battery3?
ive read the manual ive done some trial and error with both settings on the mpc and battery and nothing at all
and i have the midi cables connected correctly
ive never run into this problem in the past using midi with my mpc
my interface is an m-audio firewire1814
please help me out im going crazy[ier]

Well I'm assuming you've got everything (midi cables) connected properly - all you need is MPC out 1 or 2 to M-audio In.

It's likely that you're DAW needs to be configured properly to receive the MIDI messages and send them to the instance of Battery. Have you read the DAW manual? Also, make sure you've got the MPC set to transmit midi on the correct channel battery is set to receive (this is in the main screen - change "DRUM1" to "MIDI" and change the name of the program to the midi channel you want.

Also, I'd recommend making a program with chromatic note assignments (and then you'd choose "DRUM1" (or whichever one you have the chromatic program assigned to) for use with MIDI stuff - it'll make life a lot easier in the long run.
