Is it possible to set global Filter and Amp Envelope settings?

BTW that global velocity layer is tight ass phunk. That's is what gave me the idea.

hmm nice idea, maybe that can be the next series of parameters to be given a "whole" option...

Yea It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to add in, but then again I'm not a progammer.

IMO the goal is to apply WHOLE to as much as realistically possible as it appears to be a "lite" function codewise...i have dreams of jj eventually removing old program mode completely and freeing up more SPACE for further development.

the only thing missing from GPE that is in Old Program Mode are the following 2 things: PURGE and the ability to set an entire program to MONO or POLY. ***edit--i was wrong about that, it's actually there already, i just missed it.

AND as flammable patiently points out to me below, you can in fact WHOLLY edit amp envelope and filter envelope params by selecting WHOLE before hitting window - so the answer to the original poster is YES.

also, as pointed out below, copy pad appears not to be in GPE either.

otherwise, everything is easily accessibly and more conveniently edited from GPE.

i bet you could get at least 50 kilobytes out of old program mode...i hope i live to see the day when we can bid it farewell.

ah, so it is, thanks. scratch that one then.

* and maybe PURGE could be added to the SAMPLE LIST screen, which is the mode button over the SAMPLE parameter in the SAMPLE page of GPE.

yeah it's in there but it's not with the "whole" option.

good looks. that too.

ALSO, look what i just found:

Image

this is the old autochromatic screen available in Old Program Mode (window over tune/f3 AUTO)

Image

this is the New autochromatic screen available in GPE (window over tune)

the latter is waaay better IMO, more clear, easier to understand, and more params.

+1 for GPE

!!!! thank you for pointing that out! you're completely right, i just assumed since there wasn't a whole button IN the actual popup that it wouldn't work by selecting whole in the main GPE screen.

sorry about that! thanks for taking the time to show me what's up.

tennessee, i hope you caught that.

ok, I'm gonna try this out!! Thanks a lot.

I was also wondering if it is possible to improve the sound of the reverb effect in the mpc? I never can get a good sound to come out of it. I know most just do this in their DAW but I'm trying to do as much in my MP as possible. ya feel.

EDIT

Yup, that's pretty damn cool. just press whole right before you go into amp envelope or filter envelope and press "whole." Towards the upper right hand side it will say whole.
