hmmm, personally I don't see the demand for this...I must be missing something, could someone please explain to my why this feature is desirable?
Many thanks!

I already hear ring modulation when you use the bit reduction on the 11025 setting.

I *LIKE* JJ's frequent updates, and I *LIKE* the idea of posting the date of the next update. JJ OS is a work in progress and Akai OS is dead. I can't go back to Akai OS anymore. It would have to be a huge Akai update with many new features (and the old bugs fixed) to make me look.
Especially important is my post with the screen shot of a kick drum playing back with Akai OS vs. JJ OS. Listen to the difference between the OS's for yourself. You can hear the slow attack with the Akai OS (especially previewing), whereas JJ OS playback is accurate.
Forgiving bugs is one thing, but I'm not going to use an OS which doesn't play a sample properly.
Cheers,
B

make your ring mod hum in tune with your song
The note-naming convention specifies a letter, any accidentals (sharps/flats), and an octave number. Any note is an integer of half-steps away from middle A (A4). Let this distance be denoted n. If the note is above A4, then n is positive; if it is below A4, then n is negative. The frequency of the note (f), measured in Hz, is then:
f = 2n/12 × 440 Hz
For example, one can find the frequency of C5, the first C above A4. There are 3 half-steps between A4 and C5 (A4 → A♯4 → B4 → C5), and the note is above A4, so n = +3. The note's frequency is:
f = 23/12 × 440 Hz ≈ 523.2511 Hz.

This is the JJ OS forum. Nobody cares about what Akai will do in the future especially their operating systems. So as long as we have JJ, why is there a need to go back and sample a lame Akai OS release or even talk about it here?
Long live JJ!
