if you're not very good at maths (like me)
you cant count to 4 and multiply a number by 10?
I don't want to start a thing over this, but your response is flippant to say the least.
Firstly, i think you're oversimplifying the process. Why count to 4? Surely this only works with beats in 4/4? You haven't really expalined this magical system you have for getting 100% accurate bpms ( as my old maths teacher used to say 'you must show your working out!')
Which brings me to my second and most important rebuttal of your witty and cutting mockery of my numeracy skills - unless you are a human stopwatch, this 'counting and multiplying' method is sketchy to innacurate at best, for example, the sample from the beat i'm working on at the moment, once i trimmed it and put it in the beat calculator was 166.7 NOT 166 or 167, both of these bpms were wrong. How does your 'count and multiply' method allow for decimal places in the bpm? cos i assure you i find this a lot. But then maybe my music is just more complex and fits together smoother than yours.
Like I said I don't want a slanging match with you over this, besides so what if I can't count to 4 or multiply by 10? Does that mean that by your standards I'm not allowed to make music? I don't think I deserve snotty ignorant replies to my posts when I'm merely trying to share a resource i find useful when somebody has asked for help on that partucular subject.
anyway, if you have anything worthwhile to add to these forums, please do so, if not, just don't be a hater and try to spread some love. Cos if you don't i'll pay some big tough dudes to come round your house and put lizards in your garden.
easy now.
