yeah bro, it's really dope!
i've been doing all sorts of crazy sh!t with it so far.
the ability to audition the ring modulated samples before processing them (using F2 or PAD 13-16 ) is definitely a plus.
hopefully JJ will add the audition for the bit convert in the next release as well.
but either way, this is incredible! :)

I just tried it myself. This plus the bit reduction is real nice. I can't complain at this point.

I reported a minor bug...

Sample Rate - turn data wheel counterclockwise does not reduce sample rate.
it reduces by turing clockwise instead.

I also made the suggestion of adding Audition (PLAY F2 and PAD 13-16) to Bit Convert (since this feature is added to Ring Modulation and should be possible to add).

would not hurt to audition every effect process, eg timestretch, reverse etc...

The fault of Bit convert and Ring modulation is corrected.
The audition of a bit convert is due to be added by the following version.

Nym:
Have you requested the "cursor jump back to the edit menu function" in bit convert yet?

By H-Mann Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:02 am
The cursor doesn't jump back in ring modulation either. But it does in pitch shift.
Maybe you can use that to explain the problem to JJ.

I have a suggestion for trim mode: insert sample instead of insert silence. If you want to insert silence you can just sample some from the digital inputs and then insert it like a sample.
I thought this might not need much extra code but would be a bit more versatile.
Can't believe ring mod and bit crushing have been added, i thought we weren't going to get any more new toys!

mikalo - insert sample instead of silence is a very good, very simple idea. THAT'S the kind of stuff that is awesome because you could technically still insert silence if you had a sample of silence. or record noise, or anything really.

h-mann's been on the ball. excellent observation, and good bug reports earlier. props
