damn,
this is sooo looong  to process
i just loaded my kick folder (about 1500 files in 85 meg) to make a little selection and program,
then i thought purge was the thing to do, to erase the unwanted files...
DON'T DO THIS !
about 4 sec for 1 kick sound ! and you can't cancel the process..

i think the best way is to save the prog, then reload it while erasing entire memory !

Or...splitting this huge folder of 1500 files into 2 or 3 parts...Yeah, I know, it would help only a little...
I wonder how long did it take you to sample/collect this stuff :>
I need to find some time to get new sounds! A few hours extra in a day would be good. <dreamin'>
Sorry, but it's nearly 1 a.m. and I'm sitting here at work trying to catch up on the board : )

Why you load the whole folder?
I just browse the files, chose a sample and load it... or how did you mean that?

I find scrolling through hundreds of samples inside the MPC (or on CF) quite tedious.

I am creating my own sample library but I prefer sampling whatever I need while working on a track and saving it as a project.

To organise my samples I'm using a directory structure with a seperate folder for each type of sample (kicks, snares, hihats, basses, stabs...).
