Hi Guys,

i just got my 8out-board, and now i wanted to route complete tracks to indiv. outs rather than single sounds - is this not possible, or did i just not get it??
should be possible, or not...?

Thanx & cheers,
Mark

You route sounds(pads) to the individual outs. For example if track 1 is a kick drum and its on pad 4 then u will route pad 4 sound to whatever output u want it going to. Its quiet simple and easy to do. I see what u are asking but its not done like that ATLEAST from what i know. But wit the world changin everyday u neva know when the impossible becomes the possible.

ok, i see. looks like its the only feature of the 8outs wich is really missing;
really a pain to find out which soundpad i used for which track, because all my beats have been made without the 8out, and now that i´ve got it i would just love to route the tracks out. also sometimes my tracks use the same sounds, but i would like to assign the to different outs :-(

but thanks anyway, i will figure out a way to get along with this...

Learn what it's used for and use it accordingly.

It's missing nothing, it's perfect.

i agree with lamp, you're overthinking it

of course it makes sense that way. i just thought why it is not possible that way, technically it should not be a problem, right?

U can do it like u want to..

U could for instance route individual pads u have each drums on to individual outputs so each drum on a diff output..

Then say ur melody chops are each on diff pads u could group them to all come out the same output together etc..

U could also group ur drums to all come out same output, but why on earth would u wanna do this instead of mixin down properly with control over each individual drum? and maybe control over certain individual melody chops besides the others, etc etc etc

because my setup is the following:
i route the 8 outs via 828mkII into ableton, and do my beats normally on max. 8 tracks, and mute them in the trackview of my mpc2kxl.
in live 6 i add all kinds of effects etc, and have some additional tracks with synths and vocals...
so now i have to find out wich sound i uses in my tracks, witch is kind of confusing, cause i autoload 4 drumbanks, and use them like i want in different songs - so i have to program the 8outs now for every song different - and if i could rather route the tracks 1-8 to the outs i could just take the same setup for evry song, and don´t have to worry about what sound i put on what out...

yeah, it'd be nice the way you described it

but the way it's setup now you can assign one pad to a specific out regardless of whether they're on different tracks

There's no group feature.

It's individual pads to output. That's all you get.

When you mention group, people will prolly get confused and look for a group feature.. lol.

route pads to individual outputs, not tracks.
