this is a retarded question

seriously, i'm embarassed to ask this but i've searched and searched and read the manual and did many other things with no successful results. So i just got done making what i would consider my first respectable beat. I went and saved the entire memory and named the project. Now what do i need to do to get this from the MPC to a .wav file on my computer? Once again, sorry about this question, i'm sure it's been asked many times and has an easy answer to it.

there is a host of ways you can do this


1. record the song into a digital track recorder, burn it to a CD and put the CD in your computer

2. Using a program like audacity or el-cheapo windows wav recorder you can record the song onto your computer via rca or the mic input on your computer.

3. Resample. Press mode pad 5 (record) on your MPC. change the input to MAIN OUT. record the whole song into a new sample (provided you have enough ram). then your new sample (recorded in .wav format) will be your song. You can then save it to a CF card and put it on your computer.

4. use the search function on the MPC-forums. this topic has been covered in a host of forums.
