sorry if this is in the wrong place - thought there was a 'wish list' spot somewhere but couldn't find it. anyways - how awsome would it be to spread 1 sample chromaticaly from a1-a16 and then spread another sample chromaticaly from b1-b16 and so on. so you could f*ck with 4 different samples chromaticaly at the same time. is this possible? can someone get this idea to jj?

why don't you just make 4 chromatic programmes? the JJ gives you already the possibility to make automatic chromatic sample assign over the 4 sample banks. since you can have 99 programmes in RAM at once I don't see it being a real issue.

I think he may mean live playing of four chromatically tuned samples.

though there are workarounds (layers, anyone?) a selectable 'range' for the auto chromatic function would be nice.

actually it can be done as easy as ure sayin about it,
once u have chromatic pgm u dont have to f2ck around with setting every semitone, its all linked together so u can detune selected groups as u like,
exchange sample, velocity range or anything or not.

this can be done in under 2 minutes in GPE.

1 - load the 4 programs.
2 - select the first sequence of pads you want chromatically tuned with the WHOLE button (let's say A01-A16)
3 - move to the SAMPLE ASSIGN section
4 - scroll til you see your sample.
5 - move to the TUNE section
6 - assign all pads based on what you want the first one to be
7 - using the F WHOLE buttons, deselect the first pad (so now it's A02-A16)
8 - change the tune of A02-A16 by 1
9 - using the F WHOLE buttons, deselect the first pad (so now it's A03-A16)
10 - change the tune of A03-A16 by 1.
11 - rinse and repeat til all of bank A is chromatically tuned, then do it again for B, C, and D. make sure your WHOLE selection is accurate.

sounds like a bit of work but you'll be amazed how quick it is compared to doing each one in its own dedicated pad page.

Nice 'workaround', but modifying the WHOLE function would be more elegant I think. Like, pressing WHOLE once and then using the PAD BANK BUTTONS, so that you just select one Bank at a time. I think that's not too hard to realize, is it? I suggested it to JJ and I'm interested what he has to say about this

WHOLE + pad bank button to select 1 pad bank (X01-X16) would def make this easier - but you'd still have to go thru 1 at a time to chromatically assign them.

My Mail to JJ: "[...] In Global Program Edit you can use WHOLE to
select ALL PADS / Banks. Do you think, it is possible to modify the WHOLE
