nice, yeah I just found out (after like 5 years) that the MPC4000 does forward-backward sample looping!! How nice is that?? Even Kontakt pretty much blows at this. Now if only there was a crossfade looping option available for the forward-backward looping! Did I overlook something?

No crossfade looping like Kontakt or Sampler. Just crossfade for the loop region press the window button on the loop start or loop end margins. This works more like a audio editor crossfade like Peak or Soundforge. Software does have some advantages in that you can set up 3 or 4 loops on a single sample. Maybe the workaround is to make several copies of the same sample with different loop regions and lay them out on different keys or keygroup program on the same key but different note on and note off triggers.

Tip the via the guy talks about on the exs is just another source controling another source on the 4k.


Example set the 1 Source: Filter Env>>> Destination: Cutoff depth 50


Then set the 2 Source: Velocity>>>Destination: Fil Env Att/Dec/Rel depth 25

Lastly the cutoff at 30.
