true bit reduction or just effect ?

I exported a bit reduced sample to peak and noticed that it is still recognized as 16 bit 44.000 ...

SO what do you think. is the bit reduction a "effect type allgorythm" that just changes the sound, or is it really bit reduction. Usualy bit reduction changes the size of the sample also...

Anyways I want to make a point that either way it sounds real good, and it made me jump from joy to se this feature included!

it's true bi reduction...but the mpc can only read 16 bits 441000.
so there's 2 modifications.

this is what they call "bit quantization" which doesnt actually change the file format (it's still 16 bit, 44100) but imagine the bits of your sound as recorded pad data in step/grid edit. BIT CONVERT is like TC for your samples. it changes the SOUND, not the FORMAT.

the coolest thing is that this is all PRE FILTER, PRE EFFECT, and PRE TUNING. use this as you may - it makes for some really cool techniques.
