Resampling MPC Triggered midi sequences back into MPC

Can one of you fine experts please confirm that the MPC2500 can do this:

I would like to sequence (via MPC) midi tracks on Ableton Live and sample the audio back into the MPC, is this possible? I.e. is it capable of sequencing and sampling simultaneously? Its not a showstopper as i could always record in Live and then rerecord/export afterwards but i would like the MPC sound on everything ...

I've scoured the forums but can't see this question (and teh manuals) but want to be convinced this works before i lay wedge on a 2500
