Could I make a full song everything using the factory set samples that came with my MPC500?

(what exactly is a loop and how do you make them?)

wow lol...

Learn what something does and the basics behind it before u buy something.

I dont understand how people buy mpc's and music equipment before they know even the basics..

Its like some one buying a guitar, saying they set it up... then asking "whats a note?" or "whats a chord?"

or some one buying a car even, then asking what part the stearing wheel is...

i didn't even know what to ask about before i bought it. i know that i would eventually learn the basics and stuff, and i wanted to buy it asap because i got mine for $450 and all the others were $600-800. it would be nice if someone answered to help me out, before criticizing me on spending my own money on something. i knew i was going to get one eventually, whether it be then or 2 years from now. so might as well buy it now, and learn.

yes, you can, but you wouldent really want to if you wanted your stuff to be original. take some samples off of cd's get some rca cords, and sample off those, i have a post in here where i was having problems with doing that but i know how to do it now, go check in the getting started section.

(what exactly is a loop and how do you make them?)

a loop is like a sound or "beat" played over and over again (kinda bad at explaining)

and your probably asking how to make a "sequence" out of sounds, and a sequence is pretty much a loop. click the sequence button on your mpc, then hold down record and play/start at the same time then it will loop over after two bars and whatever you play in those two bars will be your loop.

read your manual homie!
