Only 16 RAM...How do yall get by??

So ive had my MPC 1000 for 7 months and I have yet to by the expandable 128RAM...tho im gettin it in about a month. With this minor setback...the beats must go on lol...pretty much what I do is create like 3 or 4 sequences make them into a song. From there I record it inside my MPC as a wav file...but what since i only have like 30-50 seconds of recording time i just basically make a 50 second beat. Then go into Cool Edit Pro...make copies...put them 2gether until the beat is about 3 minutes long. Vala. There you go if your in the same boat as me....what do you do...or similar??

Simple, with the ram u got at moment u can make ur beat however long u like, then instead of bouncin down to a wav inside the mpc do what most people do and track out of ur audio outs into ur pc / mixer audio in..

then mix it on ur pc / mixer

why make things more difficult then you have to? just run your audio outs into your computer and record directly. save yourself the trouble, bro

Yeah, i don't even have an MPC, i still make pause mixtape beats with my cassette recorder..

Convert your samples to MONO

So basically instead of saving the track onto the mpc, you can just run it through the computer and record through fl studio or acid or something like that. Will those programs automatically recognize the mpc?

um alrighty, fellas.

I'd upgrade the audio programs. You'll do more with a mainstream DAW program than you would with Cool Edit. Most of them now-a-days allow you to fine tune your loops which will fit perfectly within (providing you dial in the same tempos) most DAW working enviroments. When done like this, things start to pull together like a puzzle. For example, I use Sony Sound Forge 8 to import audio wav files & perfect the loops. Then I'll import that file to Steinberg Nuendo 3 for the rest of the composition, that's it.
