Recording from MPC to Computer...

1. Made tracks on MPC 1000 and would like to record performance into Acid 4.0, Reason 2.5, or Sonar 2.0. I have searched this forum and the major opinion is to get Midi/USB interface which I have. Now, can anyone please help me and tell me how the whole master/slave piece is supposed to work with any of these programs?

I tried just recording audio into the soundcard from the MPC outs, even from the MPC earpiece (headphones) and each time I recorded there is a noise in the backgroud causing distortion. When I put the headphones when not recording there is no distortion.

All I want to do is record each track into the programs without distortion, thats all. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

well it sounds to me that there is something no right with your soundcard.
and you cannot record your MPC song into Reason

try recording out of the outs instead of the heaphones

Recording out of the outs was the first thing I tried that caused all the background noise. Then my only option is midi which I am having the most trouble with.

MIDI does not record actual sounds it only records notes and information

What kind of sound card are you recording into?
