Whats up everyone, i recently purchased my mpc1000 brand new from GC about 2 1/2 3 months ago(BK). And ive noticed a few times when tracking out the beats to Cubase LE on my labtop that one of the tracks is off. The way i go about things is i run my my 1/4 inch jacks from the stereo outs on the mpc into the ins on my tascam -us144 soundcard, thats probaly the wrong way but for the time being it Was working. What happend is i set the whole song up in SONG MODE to how many bars ETC. and i mute each instrument and track it into CUBASE seperalty.I line everything up using the 4 Clicks that come inbefore the song plays so i dont have to mess with it to get it on time. SO now that i have everything on time, i press play in cubase and the 1st 45 secs of the songs is perfect, but then one of the instruments falls off usually the HIT HATS. I need some major help fellas anything is better than nothing... What do you think the Problem is? My MPC1000??? i sure hope not....
Thanks,
WES

i start the mpc from cubase and its in sync all the time ,totally solid sync(give or take a bit of latency when playing back recorded audio tracks)..i think this is what you are trying to do? ...i'll have a look at the settings on mine and stick them up later,should be simple to sort out

cubase starting mpc...

cubase side

1.transport option up the top menu's..followed by selecting Sync Setup.

settings for sync setup
2.timecode source ..= none
3send midi clock port = whatever your sound card is should appear here

mpc side

1. sync in set to slave and on the same port as the midi input to your mpc from the computer
2.mode = midi clock
3.receive mmc :off
