I just got the MPC 4000 and I can't seem to get my digital output to create audio on my computer... Please Help

Explain a little further please could you tell me you OS / sound card etc. I too have the digital option and can dump straight form the mpc to my pc via digital out.

I`m not sure; but if you have the digital out don`t you have to set it out in the multi page or go to mixer menu?

I use a creamware pulsar II for recording the samples. Basically I set the digital out in global (MPC) to master and the computer to slave. Dont forget that your sound card must support and spdif input. If you only have an analogue sound card then you may as well be pissing in the wind.

So long as the master and slaves are set correctly between devices there will be no jitter. If both are master then the data stream will inherit jitter characteristics i.e pops in the audio rendering your wonderful beat useless.
