this is crazy timing, i picked up the event tr5s on thursday cause the GC was out of the KRK rokits, and you know what im glad i got em, my music sounds shitty when im creating through them, but i route my audio to my home receiver and bose speakers when i m making the beat, and then use the events when mixing on my board and my mixes sound WAY BETTER compared to before (my homie uses the mackie 624s and they make ur stuff sound so good but your fianl mix actually sound like shit) the events tell you how it is.... cut and dry mons, i like em.

i paid $199 for my bx5 at guitar center. you could always talk them down. event, mackie, tannoy etc are all top of the line monitor, just go to the music and take a listen. monitors all so depend where you are listening to your music (room/size/carpet/no carpet/paneling etc). in other words it is subjective. i have event 20/20, tannoy and bx5 and the bx5 are not in the same class as the event, tannoy but they look cool in my software studio. in my hardware studio tannoy are good for laiding down the track but event are better for mixing. it is all subjective to ones taste.

Damn, for $199 i would cop them today! How'd you get them down so low? Did you buy other stuff as well or were you just like, "Yo, I'll give you 199 no more, no less" straight up on some hustler ish... ?

i just brought the bx5 and nothing else. i said i saw them on the internet for $xyz and will you beat it. never, ever pay the tag price for your sh*t. that sh*t is marked up for the people without a clue. i not not ashamed but there was a time when i did not have a clue and the music store have been paying since i have got one.
