Well, I will hold off judging whether Bit Convert finally works in this release....it's good that the routing of the metronome is finally here., which is an MPC 3000 feature.

yes this is very true? i want the mv< but freakin jj is making it to good.

Sorry fellas but if you are talking about the comeplete feature set, the MPC 2500 loses against the MV-8800. The same is true when you compare the MPC 4000 and 2500. JJ hasn't really added anything that wasn't already there or already in a similar product.

If you guys have ever used an MPC 2000XL, 3000, and 4000, you would know what I am talking about. What Akai or JJ should have done is start with the OS of the MPC 3000 and 2000XL and build upon that. Instead, its seems like they are working backwards....

Yeah I'm fully aware that the MV-8800 is much more feature robust compared to the MPC 2500. I was just joking around.

But I am impressed with what JJ has been doing with his OS. It is making it harder to give up my 2500 for the MV just because I'm curious as to what JJ will do next.

Well...I am not willing to applaud JJ yet. This OS is still buggy. Today, I loaded some drum samples via CD Rom and then I sampled from some audio CDs to make a track. I did some basic sample editing and created some programs. When I recorded a sequence, I received a System Error message. The names of all my tracks were garbaled similar to the bug we had a few versions ago with the internal memory content. Then a message appeared that memory was maxed despite only using about 10% of sample memory and very little sequence memory.

only bug i have had is that when i went to convert a song to one sequence i pressed cancel but it still did it.
