Memory And Sample Questions

I just bought an mpc 1000 a couple of days ago so I'm still new. I just sampled from my turntable, but now that I've trimmed it and looped the sample, the sample will not show up on my standard internal memory or my memory card which it did automatically the numerous other times I sampled. How do I save the sample so it shows up in my memory so I don't have to assign it to a pad which ends up making it sound off? Also, I assumed when in the program section that when you start under Pgm: No. 1 that it would create sixteen free pads to load my sample and drum sounds onto, but when I do nothin happens. And when I chop a sample in the slice window, how do I make it so the samples spread across the pads?

lol I realise that, I couldn't find it in the manual, I guess I missed it.

just think to yourself, my keyword for my issue is saving. so look up saving in the manual. i'm pretty sure you'll run into "saving samples" in no time..

go back in to TRIM mode. Chop another sample and pay close attention to what it says after you slice it just after you press the button to separate the slices. There's part of your answer.
