any word on the official akai padfix?

i know this horse is becoming a zombie at this point but..
has anyone got any news of the akia's supposed official padfix?

i had a feeling the whole time word was being spread of it, that it may have been purely generated by the vivid imagination of mpc-forums collective.

if akai did come out with an offical padfix, i think i just might sell my 2500 and get a busted 100 on ebay and get the padfix so i can move a bit swifter

it's supposed to come out during the fall. this is what I learned from VST, who supposedly heard this from Akai's parts department. I've heard it's gonna be a four part replacement set which you kinda assemble yourself I guess.

there will be a pad fix. akai germany told me the updated mpc1000 will be out this summer.

and how does this affect those of us with the old pads? I'm sure they're going to want us to pay... but if THEY made the mistake, they should offer it free... if not for a massive discount. It's called a recall, and they happen all the time.

akai holland said they have been noticed about this and that they will keep me informed about this.. they didn't say the date or something..
