How much free ish?

Should a producer give out...Should i be giving out free beats to local MC's that dont have the outlook of getting big or making extreme cash or what...
Should i just make remix projects and distribute them free or what im confused about this one?

iunno, some free stuff cant hurt, but if they wack and aint doing nothing with the music, charge them. if they have potential, u might give some free stuff in the beginning. then start charging

i dont how much you sell your beats for but i suggest you try and sell some for real cheap....like the best around.then you'll probaly get a few more customers.then later on other beats put the price up!

there's no limit on how much free material to hand out. It would be nice if all the people that listened to our music were connected to someone that could change our lives, but you never know who can pass you material to the right person. It could be a little old lady who's daughters husband is puffy's wife. If you try to pick who gets what (like only passing out to people that's into music (at the club, studio's etc) you may be killing your dreams; most are looking for the same thing you are, and even if their material is wack, they won't have anything good to say about yours (not all peopole are haters, but most are..)
So if your gonna hand em out, just do it. If you in this because you love it then enjoy meeting new folks and talking to them. I need to do more of that myself!

Free beats can't hurt cuz u should making atleast 2 fire beats a day, atleast. If u on ur grind then free beats can't hurt, it can only help u get ur name out there as a producers. U never know, u might give a free beat to the next big thing. Peace

give em away free...how hard is it to write a drum beat ...not very,practice makes perfect...its easy to get caught up with your music but unless you think your **talent** is going to dry up whats the harm in giving out beats for free
