Anyone know if you can assign different MIDI sequences to the MPC's pads and then be able to hit the pad for a certain sequence and have it play? For instance instead of assigning an audio loop to Pad 1, you would assign a MIDI sequence to Pad 1 and trigger it when the pad is struck. I don't actually have an MPC1k but I'm considering one to use as a live sequencer and would like to see this feature. I realise that different sequencers such as the RS7000 or MMT-8 have this function but I truly apprectiate the MPC's interface and prefer it over the competiton. I owned an MPC2000XL in the past and loved it's step sequencing, pads, and interface but never investigated for this feature. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or has any information to share, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes. You can set a sequence to each pad (64 virtual pads)...and even select if it hitting the pad triggers immediately, or after the current sequence finishes.
