is there a trakc mute function like on the MPC linE?

will it be any decent for live sets?(thats what i do)

I was htinking mpc500+korg esx, but mv8000 seems to have a better sound quality...

mpc500 does look fine w/ith it's battery control(i dont have a problem with anything else, the screens or any, im used to studio 440s, sp1200s, same size screen:p)

Calm down slim!!!!
You're typing letters in your words ahead of where they should go!

To tell you the truth and be honest, the MPC's & both MV's can get a project done hassle-free. They all make "BEATS" and can be used live. As to which one will best suit your needs? That is the homework that you'll have to do.

To answer your question....the MV-8000 has NO buggy issues. That's not to say that there's not extra's that user's want the MV to have, but everything that it's suppose to do.... works! The 8000 is the older version now and user's speculate that updates are done for the 8000, but who knows? I can't call it!

The 8800 is the new box and stands a better chance for updates. Roland is famous for updating the OS not only to fix a bug, but to add extra features FREE! We got a ton of features on the 8000. (EQ per track, pencil tools, mute automation....to name a few). One thing for sure, you don't have to pay a 3rd party person for any updates.

The MPC's do what they do.....many here will agree. So you have to do your homework!!!!

As for Roland not being a reliable name- Dude, what planet you come from? It can't be earth! Roland has been around for years and customer support is SUPERB! Roland never leaves you hanging with buggy devices. If you ever need parts or service....you don't get the run-around!

True dat...I'm still swing'n with my R8 & JV-1080. Had the R8 since the 80's and don't think it can get anymore reliable than it's been.

I had a roland r-8 I bought in 1990 in Yokohama, Japan. I had 4 sound cards for it, LOVED it. Great machine, that machine is what got me into using pro drum machines (besides my tr-808).

Yeah the admins are damn slow at MV Nation. The same thing happened to me; I registered and kept trying to log in, kept waiting for an activation e-mail and then all of a sudden 3 weeks later I was able to log on. They gotta pick up their service at the nation a bit.

Who's the REAL IDIOT here :? You post something on a site where that SAME ADMIN can see you post your ignorant remarks. Part of the reason there's a delay in getting anyone on MVNation as a member is due to 'trolls' (of which you might be one) and SPAMBOTS (not even real members but links) who's only goal is to tie PORNOGRAPHIC or other UNFAVORABLE links to the site. As a result, we have to 'screen' out potential web issues upfront. Obviously you wouldn't understand this :? .

In addition, it costs money EVERY month to host a site for people like you, who are looking for help and info but don't know how to research info on your own. If were 'slow' in your eyes, know this WE HAVE LIVES TO! One of the admin members just had a child so whoever is still waiting to come on board, you'll be on shortly and we have a program were using to try and speed up the process of enrollment. So for ALL who have waited to get on the NATION site, we appreciate your patience. To those who choose to 'speak BEFORE they think' let's see how much longer the IDIOTIC ADMIN is gonna take to bring you on :?

Peace, KBM MVNation forum Admin.
