MPC 1000 vs MPC500 vs Rolands SP-606

here's an overview of what i'm looking for.

My current set up is this, I use the drum Sequencer in FL Studio 4 via midi by clacking the keys on the Triton LE and export that out to Adobe Audition 1.5 where I use a Triton LE to record my tunes real time. Right now this is slightly scattered and a little hectic in terms of sequencing everything. Right now I'm looking to step up and get a program that will allow me to do more things real time for a budget of about $600-$700 off a musican's friend. What would you suggest for me? I want more control and real time capabilities, the "professional" on Musician's friend told me that the Roland Sp-606 would be better, but just as well i can order a MPC1000 off of Ebay for 700 via the pay pal credit card. Should I go with safe brand new material, or take a chance at a pre-owned MPC 1000?

it all depends on what your looking to do in your studio.I had an roland SP-606 before my mpc's. A few things to note (1) the 606 has an 8 pad polyphono, the mpc does up to 32 pads at once. (2) the mpc has real pitch control, and the 606 has a pitch"effect". Both machines have strengths and weaknesses, for example the 606 has a ton of effects and the mpc has like 10 or so. What do you mean by "real time capabilities"? If you could be a little more specific because both offer " real time features".

i suggest you try them both out if possible.

Like Nab & J.R. with So Hot and Mac The Doulos I love layering my drum and snare sounds and being able to play my track back and not have to worry about stopping, rewinding and playing again. but while the track is on the go just hit the required button and add it in without having to click this and click that to go to the required spot. I also like the set up in Adobe when I load my drums in and sequencing them, where I arm a track to record and whenever I hear something on the specific track I just sift through the triton get the sounds and play the song and then cue it on through different places in the track as I want.

why not just buy an axiom keyboard for your comp it has pads, enocoders, sliders and comes in 25,49,61 keys or just get an mpd16 or the korgpadkontrol for software i recommend reason because i've tried using fl studion 3,4,5,7 and they all are complicated non streamlined and confusing with all its fruitisms. It would be smart to go ahead and buy reason 3.0 at zzsounds i think its less than 100 dollars right now. I switched over to reason and within a week i was making tracks. its easy,fast, and simple and when you step into a real studio you will actually know what you are doing because you learned stuff from reason and not fl's fruityisms.
