In an effort to coordinate my folders, samples, programs, etc that are on my CF card for the mpc1000 i am having a problem with the Autoload function. I have created a folder on the CF card (using the PC and a card reader) called Autoload 7-11-07 which has all my present samples, programs and sequences in it. Now, i only have like 3 programs so far and a handful of sequences but i have a ton of samples in that folder. So needless to say i wanted to organize them so that i can correlate this folder with a mock one i made on my desktop so that i can know exactly what is on the card and in the folders with out having to actually open the CF card up. So for all the samples i made a guitar folder, a synth/keys folder, drums folder, etc WITHIN the Autoload 7-11-07 folder that i have set to autoload when my MPC1000 starts up. Here's where the problem comes in---when i start up the mpc it wont load anything. Is that b/c you CANT have subfolders in an folder that is autoloaded. Because, then i redid it and killed all the folders and just had all the samples, programs and sequences listed 1 by 1 in the Autoload 7-11-07 folder and boom it loads up right away. That just sucks b/c i hate having 200+ samples on a CF card in a folder not organized by their characteristic or instrument or whatever. Am i doing something wrong or does the MPC just not load any folders that are within a main folder that is set for autoload??? Thanks guys.

i suspect you were right when you said it wouldnt load folders within folders...why dont you use more than 1 cf card ....have one with samples on it..or even better buy a hard disk, you wont regret shelling out the cash for it
