I downloaded the new O.S. to my CF Card and then powered off the MPC then turned it back on while holding down the window key and it is saying that the O.S. is not found, can someone point me in the right direction please!

Thanks a million....

Just tried to update myself and it keeps saying wrong card and I tried three different cards and this isn't my first update :download the file ,unzip the bin file ,put the bin file on the cf, put cf in the machine hold window button while it powers up and it should update. plus I have a 1000 as well never had a problem so it's something wrong on their end

try it with the original akai cf card - i remember some updates just worked if you used the akai card.
and make shure to drop the os into the root folder.

I tried to update the O.S. with a ScanDisk CF card and I guess the MPC dosen't like it, so I tried it with the Akai CF card and it updated like a charm!

Peace! :D

Sorry to ask this question but what is the root folder or where do I find it on my computer?
thanks,
John

lol...that's a classic

Seriously: The root folder is the topmost level on any disk/hard drive/CF Card/CD-ROM, before going into any folder. So just put the OS file on the card, and not into any folder.

Click your "My Computer" icon, and look for the corresponding drive in the "Devices with Removable Storage" section.
