question to those people who use expidit shelfs...

Those small ones, that u can lay horrizontally and use as a table as well.. how much wieght they hold? would they be cool to have my set up on top.. well the rack sampler (maybe a rackmount with a few other bits in).. couple pc screens... my monitors (speaker ones not screens).. midi controllers.. cd turn table, record one and mixer.. as well as records in the shelfs etc etc??

Anyone else have theyre set up or parts of theyre set up on one? how it hold out? i dont wanna get it put everything on and in it and have shit collapse especially not onto the records lol

I'm thinking of putting a table top onto mine as well, I think they hold a bunch of equipment easily. I would put a plate on top of the long side which is at least as wide as the shelf itself (1,50m). And the records in the shelf itself are independent from what you put on the top anyway by the way. So yes, I would definitely say that's possible.

well i wasnt thinkin to put a top on it as such.. just use the actual expedit thing how it is on its side and put the equipment directly on top.. see im not sure if i should re inforce it some way or if it would hold the weight of equipment on top

it'll be fine. At one point, I had my ASR-10 and an Akai S6000 plus a Technic 1210 on top. It holds up pretty well actually. I don't know exactly how much weight they could hold, but I'm assuming that it should be fine putting all the stuff you listed on it.
