new kid on the block

Hi guys/gals?
i picked up the MPC1000 last week and i'm hoping to be welcomed into the mpc clan with open arms. I promise to read the the manual 12 times to ensure i don't clog up your forum with worthless posts threads and posts.

There are some things the manual doesn't cover however like experience and familiarality.

Welcome, it's nice to meet someone who's doing his homework...

In case you haven't heard, http://www.akaipro.com/int/mpc1k/index.html has free programs, OS Updates, documents.
This forum's search facility isn't that hot, you may get better results just viewing the topic subjects.
I'm also working on a FAQ, linked below, though be warned that some of it is "opinionated", to put it politely... 8)

No problems at all with the 1000 since OS 1.03. The only issues I had before that were minor. I know I certainly wouldn't trade the 1000 for a 2000xl...

I'm a big manual freak - I'm reading manuals 24/7 - however if you've read the 2000xl manual a hundred x's the 1000 aint really got much to say - but you know...
