first link on this page :
http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=alternative+looping&btnG=Recherche+Google&meta=

it means that we'll probably can reverse a sample within the program settings(unsure),
it also means that will can sample eg : short sounds with the loop function to create wavetable synthesis (like the maelstrom in reason or more precisely like in the nnxt of reason when you set the parameter on loopin forward/backward).

it also mean that time by time the mpc become a true sampler (it still needs true adsr, true lfos, midi cc in...)

there were a request topic about that has been locked (still don't understand why...)

That's exactly what it is. It gives you step by step instructions on how to tie these so you look proper (in a Farnsworth Bently kinda way) while making beats, son.

by the way... the jj-site says it'll be out the 17th!

Bowtie looping is when lets say you have a sample that decays like a snare so it looks like this '>' and then you want to loop it right after in reverse like this: '<' so the result would like a bowtie: '><'

so if you held it down it would look like "><><><><><><><..."

So let's say you have a piano sound that is too short, and you want it to be half a second longer... use the bowtie loop so that the end of the sample in reverse is less abrupt than a normal look. I think you know what i mean,

thats right. so now just look a the picture. the answer is there.

you see, it is not a language issue, it is just that you... oh well

I think you have it right. Basically, if you set it to alternate looping, it will play from the start point to the end point then reverse itself back to the loop point, then forward to the end point, and on and on. This was an option on all of the earliest samplers. Why it was taken out is a mystery to me. It was designed to allow for smoother transtions, but it can also be a great effect. I'm lovin JJ for this.

suddenly, all of my chopped oneshots are going to become bowties

this will be nice for chopped string samples...

ALREADY...

Sounds good, I can't wait to try this out. I have a couple of samples in mind.
