Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

After making a drum sequence on full level how do I go back in and tweak the volume for each instrument?

Or how do yall do it?
First I started without the full level on, but most of the time I can't keep all the sound on one level so I just started turning the full level on, but I need to tweak the volume for instruments like hats, and snare, etc..

alright first thing is to put all your sounds on seperate tracks on the MPC. Makes everything easier than just doing a whole beat on S:Track 01

put your hats on
Tr-1
kicks
tr-02
snare
tr-03

and down at the lower corner is velocity. you can lower the individual sounds like that./

Also from the MIXER mode. I think SHIFT + 7 and adjust the levels seperatly.

OR in Step mode (F1) in the mian screen
You can view every note you programeed (ex. A 2 bar loop) and fine tune the velocity setting to decrease volume

But defientily turn Full Level Off when doing drumz, cause it gives it a better feel and dynamics. Full level sounds all robot like and human drummers swing and play different velocitys to accent the rhtym.

And yo you should def put all your sounds on there own track. Makes life easy.

i normally do my drums full level for the pattern and change the levels of the drums on the mixer, then go back in and accent using 16 levels of velocity.

either way, same shit

Shift 7. This is the mixer mode. Press the pad you want to adjust and it's automatically highlighted. Move the data wheel and adjust the volume. Press the next pad you want to adjust, do the same thing. ETC, ETC.
