Noob, Question: How can I save recorded sample without drums

Small background, MPC1000, just got it, and I am just getting familiar with it. Using the JJ OS 4.74, which made the MPC very useful to me. I am a Gospel producer and need to be able to put idea down pretty quick and the MPC has help alot.

Still having problems with two things, chopping up a bass line that I just direct recorded into the MPC, but that will come with practice. I want to be able to use the patch phrase process and allow my bassline to change tempo.

Now, my question to you guys and maybe some gals, is how do I save a sequence with my direct recorded sample, where the sample doesn't retain the drum track. when I same "Entire Memory" and I listen to the sample on track 57 when I load the data back in and the sample contains the programmed drums. and of course I solo track 57. any Idea would be greatly appreciated.

If I understand correctly, you are direct recording a bassline into the mpc.
You have the sample on track 57 but the drums are playing with it.

Okay...I assume when direct recording, you only recorded the bassline, no drums. You laid the drums down after recording the bassline.
You must have recorded the drums on the same track as the bassline. In that case copy the track containing the bassline. You should have two similar tracks now, (Tracks 1 & 2 is what I'll call them) While on track 1, hit Mode pad 14, step edit. This is where you can edit the steps of a track. Here you can delete the drums on Track 1. Now open go back to the main screen & scroll to track 2. Same process, EXCEPT delete the sample from track 2. I hope this helps.

But sorry guys, I figured it out. I am feeding the drum back through my mpc by mistake. So it is all my fault.
