Another midi problem.MPC 60II version 2.12

'Sup people...Here's something that's been driving me crazy...i've tried to hook up my MPC 60 to my s1100, but i can only seem to trigger the samples (from the s1100) on channel 16A. I know about MIDI hookups, and what i'm supposed to do, i've read the DXarmy Faq and all that, but i'm still at a dead-end....I even hooked the MPC up to my COmp and tried to trigger sounds from my Emulator X2 software. Whenever i changed the program number, the software responded by changing the soundbank...so i know at least data was being transfered on 1D (the out i had it set..)..Even on this i was only able to trigger sounds from the 16A channel.......Maybe my MIDI is busted?..i've gone through all the menus, and changed things to see if they have an effect...but nothing....any help would be greatly appreciated...PEace...

Aight yo..i got it to play...but ONLy if i turn on the 2nd row of channels.For some reason, the top row has to be a 16 channel..(ABC or D)..doesn't matter...(for instance, i'll have a s1100 loop on channel 1D (bottom channel)..and the top channel to 16(ABC or D)...but if i mess with the top channel, the midi signal is lost)...this still causes problems cuz it has me "multi triggering " a drum and a loop assigned to different channels...maybe i got a busted MIDI cable?.......*confused and tired**...
