the new OS works great, the only thing is that ever since 4.72 there is a bunch of lag time I have to wait when I push mode + load or push main after being in the load/save screen. Very annoying, but otherwise new OS is awsome.
Your music is underground not because of any choice that you made, but because it is probably garbage.

very strange this lag. but i don't seem to get it.
the only think which comes to mind would be to try a reset of the mpc.
-> hold erase + power on
let us know if it fixes it.
cheers

Resetting does not fix the lag problem. Really no big deal but kind of annoying when you are used to working at a certain speed.

Yeah, I get a really tiny bit of lag, but small pfice to pay for great features on a great OS.

WOW.
I was going to have to bring my mpc in for repair. Good thing Lithion posted or I'd never known it could be attributed to the OS.

How much lag are we talking? On my machine its no different to how I can remeber it. I assumed the pause was while the HDD spins up.

speaking of lag, ever since i don't remember which version - but a few back - there seemed to be added lag and sluggishness when setting start and end points on samples in the trim screen
i'm happy to see that it is much improved in the newest version.

the biggest lag i notice is when i turn on my mpc...
everytime i boot it up, i sit there sweating, on some
"...ohh god, PLEASE let my machine not be broken....
...PLEASE BOOT UP!!!!"
.....and then 8 long ass seconds later it finally does

The other day - this happened to me - except it didn't start at all! - and wouldn't on subsequent attemts at starting it.
Had to transfer the OS to my memory card and reinstall the whole thing from scratch, it did however work after that.
This is the only issue i've had yet with the JJ os. Pretty poor if you ask me. Fair enough it's an amazing os - but if it starts to mess with machines and (in this case) not boot properly, it could make peoples machines useless! (until they have to reinstall the os that is).
