j/k i'm not that obsessive. it's just my attitude has changed. for me to put something on my 4k would feel like i have defiled my mpc. i would want to have something so serious weighing on my concience

Right now I'm not working with any artist. I'm more of a dj/remixer artist which is real behind scene.

Heavy, do you use near field or bi-amped monitors in there? I did'nt see any so that's why I asked.

No monitors yet. I had my eye on the KRK V8 for awhile now. They are $500 for one amp speaker. $1000 for a pair.

I'm useing the Altec Lansing ACS641 4.1 which is 400watts rated and the signal is sent those speeakers from a SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum which is installed in my pc. They sound great together. I had neighbors and the police to the house many times.

Heavy, that's a mad setup. Just wondering why the HDX is sitting on some cassette boxes?

Yea, I know that soundblaster/altec combo is the beast. I started out using a soundblaster soundcard when I built my first pc. But as time went on, I found out I was using consumer grade equipment to record my tunes. So after thoroughly doing some research, I found that going with a good pro/semi-pro sound card makes all the difference in the world. The card I chose to go with was (2) of the ECHO LAYLA 24/96 interfaces which connect with my mixer (a 24x8). I also found that using nearfield or midfield monitors work better at giving a true reference to ones sound. I would then check my mixes using a home, car or just about any stereo system available to verify their worthiness. To me, consumer audio products tend to exaggerate the sound, especially speakers. I thought I'd throw that your way for a little FYI.

Because I have the bottom shelf slope down in the front on 22 1/2 angle for easy reaching and I use the cassette to even balance the hdx. When I first built the rack It was hell on my technics 1200s. Without lifting the turntables up at the front, the tone arm was all over the place. So I done the samething when I have the cdx and the hdx in the technics place. You will notice in the photo, that the back end sitts higher.

I know the wiring looks a mess. Just tired and lazy to take a day out of the weekend and straighting it up. Plus I'm always buying, upgrading, and moving things around to keep it neat.

Believe when I say the sound is tight and crisp. Underneith the rack not shown is a 400watt subwoofer and 4 speaker.
