Peace.

I read the thread and looked at the video on Youtube. Good work. I am having a problem with my set up and I hope you can help. This is it.

I have an Mbox2, Oxygen 8, mpc 1000 and running reason 2.5 along with Protools and Cubase sx2. Here is what I am having trouble with. I need some help on getting the mpc to record the midi notes I play on the oxygen 8. I have the midi cable comming from the oxygen 8 Keyboard port going into the midi in on the mpc. I have the midi out going from the mpc to the midi in on the Mbox2. I have reason syncing with the mpc. That part I got right. In the reason preferrence page in advanced midi I have it set to the Mbox2. I have the mpc on midi track. I have chosen the same midi channel as one of my modules and I start to record and play somthing. Nothing is being recorded.... What could I be doing wrong???? Any help is greatly apreciated.

I am having the same problem

When I have ReDrum playing as my only module, everything is fine.

When I add another module (i.e.: NN19 or NN-XT); the sound from the additional module plays with ReDrum.

ex: Create --> Redrum: I'll press a pad on my MPC it will trigger the corresponding sound (i.e: Kick). (no prob)

prob: Create --> NN19 (so now, I'll have Redrum on Ch1 and NN19 on Ch2... Now, when I press that same pad (assigned to Redrum); it plays the kick, as well as which ever sound is assigned to the NN19 (i.e. - Heavy Guitar). (NN19 plays perfectly by itself on its assigned channel (Ch2), but is also playing on Ch. 1 with Redrum.) (Also, if I go to the mixer and MUTE Ch 2, the sound does not play on Ch 1.)

but I dont dont know if he was saying when he is trying to sample in the nntx,
that some of them sounds plays in channel 1b with redrum
reminder nntx is in channel 2b

maybe i'm just not getting it but it sounds like someone answered this question but I guess I didnt understand

I am having a problem, you answered it in the forum... but i didnt understand

I am using reason as a module
I have a mpc 2000xl
In reason I have it set to channel 1a
also my mpc is set to 1a

now when I go to channel 2a to play my nnxt
its already playing, it is only playing muffle sounds but I know its from my nntx.. it sounds like my kick in redrum is playing in channel 2abut with a nntx sound

now this make it hard for me to sample becuase the sample already plays before I even hit the pads

some one asked you something like this and you explained but I think I'm asking something different.. or maybe not

Hello, I have everything set up like how it was shown in the video, but I have a little problem. I can trigger/play reason on the mpc through the pads, and record it, but when I try to do the same with the keyboard, it doesnt record to the MPC.... what do I have to do to make it record when I use the keyboard to trigger reason?

Does anybody know why some Reason sounds triggered from MPC are not in Chromatic sequence? If so, how do I make sure that when I use the MPC to trigger sounds from reason that they are in the proper chromatic pattern on the pads?

thanks,
~B

you have to have a midi cable coming from the midi out of the keyboard going to the midi in of the mpc.
