Sup peeps, I just joined the forum and I bought my mpc1000 literally 2 hours ago, so bare with me please.

I've got my turntable(1200) going through a phono pre-amp and then into the mpc (record in). From there i have stereo outs to motu ultra-lite input, then from the ultra-lite to my monitors. I have recorded from the record into the mpc, but I cant hear anything. I also tried going straight from the mpc to the monitors.

-In other words-
turntable>phono pre>mpc (record in)>stereo out>ultra-lite in>ultra-lite out>monitors

This may sound stupid, but this is all via audio cable. Do I need MIDI cables maybe? or am I missing some hardware? Any help would be much appreciated. Mad thanks in advance. peace.

i dont know what the hell ultralite is. But you should skip it and hook the mpc directly to the monitors- then you should figure out what the hell ultralite is.

Ultra Lite = audio interface (someone told me use it), but alas problem solved, thanks for the reply.
