just loaded OS v 3.07 on my MPC 1000 and still have the same error message (format is invalid) whenever i try to format my brand new and functional (it's not a dud) Toshiba mk1032gax 100gb hard drive... what the hell is going on--i've been troubleshooting this thing for 4 months now--is it really worth it to pay 30 bucks to upgrade to OS v4, to see if it will make a difference, or should i just get a new hard drive. going nuts here.
thanks.

I did a quick search on google and it looks that this guy had the same problem from this website too. Here's what he said.

Mine doesn't work. Me p*ssed off right now.

I cannot format. After waiting like 2 minutes for the "hard disk" to appear in the format page, I press "do it" and nothing happens at all.

Anyone have similar issues with this drive.......

Here's the thread. http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?p=573318
It looks like he just decided to get another drive.

Same problem here as well, Is there a solution? Searched this forum and it seems I'm not the only one but no one seems to be offering a solution?
