QUESTION FOR ALL U 2500S

on my mpc when i go to mode save and select internal memory to save something to it when i hit do it...it then says "this will erase seq data in the internal flash memory" i have 2 questions 1 wat does that do and mean? and 2 if i get a 80 gig hd for my 2500 will that message still appear? basically im tryna save all my beats 2 places and not just on the flash card which im currently doing now so if i get the 80 gig hd can i then save my beats on the the flash card and on the hd?

That means that if you have any data stored in your flash memory, it will be replaced by whatever you are trying to load. It's nothing bad unless you didn't save the previous project. Why is it that I feel i am not explaining things right? Here's another scenario...

Say you have loaded a drum program. That program was stored in your flash memory. It will remain there until either 1., you replace that data with new data or 2., you turn your MPC off. Somebody feel free to help me here? I'm having a time explainig this!

ok i almost get wat ur saying and i appreciate the help but im wasnt trying to load anything i was trying to save somthing and it said that....is it still not nothing bad? and nothing in permanetly lost? remember this is happending after i make a beat on the mpc i wanted to see if i could save the beat to the internal memory and if i did wat would happen and before how long would need to but and hd (thinking og getting the 80gig hd for my 2500)

The internal memory is a small flash memory, that only holds some factory presets so that the machine at least does something if a newbie turns it on Imagine it as a small flash card inside the MPC...

The fact that it says it will erase seq data is because...well, it will just do that I guess.

It's only around 5MB and not designed to be your main place to save something. Use your CF card or a HD for that.

great u pretty much answered my questions imma just get the 80gig hd and do that save my beats 2 places on the hd and the flash this way i have a backup....it would be hot if u could save ur beats or just any data to the cd with the cd drive but u cant which sucks....but good looks imma get the 80 gig from samlekings...is there a better place to get it or its ok to buy from there?
