please how do i copy one pad to another pad, I've bought and searched the mpc tutorial, scanned the pdf every which way to sunday with all the keywords copy, copy pad, copy sample, move, move sample everything i can think of

i could use a little help, i've got some samples that i'd like to move around to other pads.

by the way i'm on the mpc 1000 using the latest jj os and thanks alot.

please can any of you 17 that have viewed my post help I'd really appreciate it?

I don't understand what you mean when you say 'copy a pad'



If you have a sample assigned to a pad, just go into program mode and assign the sample to a different pad.

thanks for responding , I'm talking about having a sample on one pad, and then later deciding that i'd like to copy that sample to several other pads?

Don't know about the MPC 1000, but in my MPC 60, i just save the sound, then LOad that sound it into the multiple pads i want it in..

Just go to edit, highlight the sample, hit save sound, rename it, go into param section and assign the new named sampled to the desired pad.

thanks everybody, so you're saying there is no 'copy pad' command or a 'move' pad command in the mpc 1000, I understand the work arounds I just want to make sure that those commands don't exist cause if so i'm very suprised?

just go mode>program>hit pad that sample is on>take the sample off>hit pad you want it on?scroll through sound and select the sample.

thats how you move sound from one pad to another if thats what you mean to copy sound do what 713 said ight hope it helped

I think you might be going about what you are trying to do in the wrong way. Why do you want to copy the pad, I mean like, what are you ultimately trying to achieve? The reason I ask is because there might be a slightly easier way in terms of workflow to go about what you are doing.

highlight the pad number in program edit. then hit window.

To "copy" a pad, hit that pad and select the sample you want

To "delete" a pad, select that pad, and select no sample (blank)
