yo penny, also, are you layering the drums onto the sample in the same track? I had this problem at first and it made me lose my mind, diffrent tracks and programs are damn important. The 1k is the shit its just a matter of knowing how to use your weapon.
peace
hope this helps

your 1k has 32 voices = 16 stereo samples can be played at a time. now if the 1k plays 16 stereo samples at a time and another sample starts playing, the sample that was played first cuts off (last-note-priority).

how to fix it:
- get another sampler for more voices
- if you use lots of layered drums you might wanna resample them to save voices
- you could also cut your main sample into different parts to work around the last-note-priority thing

Dude... join the dots...

You are going over the polyphony. 32 voice really should be enough for most purposes. For example you might have a whole bunch of cymbals with longtails eating up your voices. Put anything the doesn't need to be poly on mono. If you still using too many voices, resample.

Awesome i finally got it
thanks for all the replies, damm hah i feel pretty slow about that
something so simple..i just used mode+pad11 then just made all the drums mono and that allowed me to layer over the sample without cutting the end of the sample off

easy eassyyyy
