I know there's been a ton of questions about mpc and pro tools, but I have one that I'd like a little clarification on. If I sync my mpc with pro tools (somehow) and want to use my mpc as the master (using samples from mpc, and midi triggers)... and record into pro tools, is there a way to eq/mix/fade each individual sample from each pad? I find it ridiculously hard to try and record a track with just kick, then just snare, then just sample one... ect. Timing ends up being the death of me when it comes to pro tools and trying to do that kind of recording. When I record on the mpc, (and everything sounds great) I try to send signal thru spdif to pro tools, the hi hats and what not are extremely loud, and the kicks, and background sounds are super weak. I know I'm probably not going about this the conventional way, but it's how I like to work, and I'm looking for advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
