can anyone tell me how i can make my mpc to have the quantize at default OFF at start up?
not a huge consern, but i find a bit annoying always having to turn of the quantize after i've recorded because i always forget it.

yeah, i've wondered this for awhile too.
too bad making a default sequence doesn't seem to carry over the quantize settings...

sometimes it baffles me why people try and avoid one or two simple buttons

did you mean time signature like 4/4, 3/4, etc.... or did you mean tempo?
if you mean tempo you can already do this...

-------------------------------
on the main screen hit window over the sequence name
hit f3 for default
set your tempo to whatever you want...
-----------------

i got mine set to 187.

Could you just save a project with all your settings the way you like them but leave out any samples and programs, then set that as your Autoload project and have it load all your settings automatically but with a a clean slate for samples and programs?

this works too....but it doesn't save/set your quantize settings.

Yeah I wanna know this too.

It's not about being lazy, its just that I always forget to turn quantize off before I record and it's annoying to have your performance **** with and having to record it in again.
